Why is Connecticut missing from the state drop-down list?
Because of Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal's stance on ecigs, we have decided to not ship to that state. What is the warranty on hardware?
All hardware has a 30 day no-hassle warranty. The warranty period begins on the date you received the item, as indicated by tracking of shipping. If for some reason the tracking does not show delivery date, it will be considered to be 4 days after it was sent from us. For warranty claims and returns of hardware, please contact us.
Do you allow returns on e-liquid?
E-liquid is a consumable item and as a result is non-returnable.
Where do you ship to, how much is shipping, and how do you ship?
We ship worldwide. For orders within the U.S. you can choose First Class (for small orders) or $5 for Priority Mail, regardless of size of order. For orders outside the U.S. you can choose FIrst Class International (for smaller orders) or Priority Mail International. Rates for First Class Domestic, First Class International, and Priority Mail International will vary. You can preview the rates by using the estimate postage function after adding items to the shopping cart.
What happens if an overseas customer places an order and it does not make it through customs?
If that happens, simply contact us and we will attempt to reship the order to you. Please note that if you select First Class Mail International it will usually arrive in 1-2 weeks but can somtimes take 3-4 weeks to arrive.
What is the purpose of the ScanMe sticker on my parcel?
That is simply a reminder to the carrier to scan the tracking barcode when delivering your item.
How is your e-liquid made?
Our e-liquid is made from propylene glycol, water, food grade flavorings, and nicotine extracted from tobacco (except in the non-nicotine versions). It is made by one of the largest e-liquid manufacturers in the world under very controlled conditions and is factory sealed for your protection.
What does it mean when it says "11mg, 16mg, etc"?
That is the amount of nicotine per gram of fluid. One gram is approximately one ml. (one gram of propylene glycol, the primary ingredient, is .96527 ml, so for simplicity it's considered to be one ml). One drop of liquid will provide approximately the same amount of puffs as a standard cigarette. There are 20 droplets in one ml. If the bottle is a 10ml bottle and has 11mg strength, the total bottle has 110mgs of nicotine and each drop has approximately 0.55 mgs of nicotine.
Are there any safety precautions I should take with e-liquid?
Nicotine is a toxic, addictive substance and can be harmful or fatal if swallowed, aspirated, or allowed to be absorbed through the skin. Keep all nicotine products away from children and pets. In addition, our nicotine products should only be used by persons 18 years of age or older; should only be used by persons who already use products that contain nicotine; should not be used by persons who are pregnant, thinking of becoming pregnant, or are nursing; should not be used by persons with heart, circulatory, or other medical conditions; and should not be used by persons sensitive or allergic to nicotine or propylene glycol. What is the best way to store my e-liquid?
For best results, keep in a cool, dark, place. Also, please make use of the included child-resistant bottles.
Will the use of your products cure my nicotine addiction?
No. Our products are not designed to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, including (but not limited to) nicotine addiction.
Why do my batteries blink after I have inhaled for 5 seconds?
This is normal and is a safety feature to protect the atomizer from overheating. If battery begins blinking immediately when inhaling, the battery needs recharging. If it happens after a 5 second inhale, it is the auto-cutoff for safety purposes. Also, please note that if you inhale too many times in too short of a period, the battery will blink to remind you to slow down on your use. For further details, please see your manual.
Why does my credit card statement say "wayoutwestusa.com" for place of purchase, when I bought the item(s) from you?
Our other company is wayoutwestusa.com and all billing (except for PayPal) is processed through it.
Do you accept PayPal?
Unfortunately, we can no longer accept PayPal. PayPal has decided that electronic cigarettes are in violation of their acceptable use policy, even though there is no mention of electronic cigarettes in their acceptable use policy. As a result, PayPal has informed us that we can no longer offer PayPal as a payment option.
Is my credit card information safe?
Yes. Your credit card information is sent to us via a secure, encrypted connection (SSL). Our system then relays it to the credit card network through the credit card gateway, again using a secure, encrypted connection. The only part of your card number that we store is the last 4 digits and we never store the card security code.
What is your privacy policy?
We will not share your information with any other party, except as required for fraud investigations and as needed for billing purposes.
Is there a reason I haven't gotten a reply to my email to you?
Normally, all emails are replied to within 24 hours. There are a few times that there might be a longer delay, such as when traveling on business trips. If your email should have been replied to, and you have not gotten a reply within 48 hours, please check your spam folder. If there isnt anything in your spam folder, please add our email addresses to your email whitelist ( sales@alternasmokes.com and support@alternasmokes.com ) and ask us to resend our response to you.
